I have finally learned the definition of what my photo meditations are and have been. They relate to the Japanese concept of "ma" (間), which refers to the space, interval, or pause between things—the time between the beginning and end.

My photo meditations are the quiet spaces where I can process events in my life and find some sense of balance. It's nice to finally have an answer for this, especially since I've been asked about it.
