Recently I did my annual photo walk. When I do long photo walks I partially fuel myself with coffee. This year was no different. I visited 2 coffee shops, which I have been to before, and one shop which was new to me. My goal was to watch thebaristas work, and really focus on what …
Simply put, I am still working on things however, they are getting better. This weekend’s pulls had better crema. I did change the tamp and adjusted the grind. I wish I could have done more this weekend. But I have a coffee event coming up where I hopefully will further my espresso education.
Notes on my espresso education , with the help of Coffee_Couple & BaristaOnDutY, to help improve my coffee photography. This is today’s first tamp, after i did the pull,I realized it was over done. I need practice, and I don’t like the plastic tamp I have.
My second attempt, this time i had a little more time to think and note things. I adjusted the grind and the tamp, and got better cups. While the Crema was not perfect there was an improvement in the espresso pull.
Sweet Yellow Brazil, from my most recent order from the Coffee_Couple . A great way to start the year. I made it Americano style using my AeroPress to brew. Nice Simple and clean way to start the year.
Have you ever Percolated Yogic Chai?
Still saving some cash, I made muffins for this week. I experimented with Coconut & Chocolate, bran muffins don’t have to taste like cardboard.I used Cambot(My Nikon D90) and my Nikkor 35mm lens for the image.
I was in mad scientist mode . Ive been thinking about this recipe for a few days, it worked out well.
Family loves this recipe. Its very simple , quick and satisfying and goes great with Coffee.
